I’ve just recently started playing piano. This is one of those musical instruments that everyone who is trying to improvise or wants to get serious with music must learn. I think piano is the core instrument and it serves really good in writing songs and developing other musical and artistic skills. I don’t know when I’ll actually post this (I want to read it again before I press upload), but tonight is a great night to be writing.  I had a jam packed day, and we all know that it can be very tough to fit everything you want in your schedule when you work in the talent management industry.  One of the hardest parts of it is that so many people need your time, which is obviously very limited.  Each new artist you add to your roster means one more person that you have to be able to give 100% of yourself to.  It’s definitely not easy to multitask period, and when people are involved, it can be that much harder when you think about all of the emotions and hopes and dreams that these people have and wish to achieve.  It is my job to help them achieve it, and I love doing so, but each artist I take under my umbrella means I have to devote that much more time to them as opposed to myself.  I think I have been doing a good job of it so far, and I hope I can keep it up!

The best technique to preparing your mixdown for cd mastering should be to be sure that the levels aren’t excessive and that there is not any clipping on your track. Clipping occurs when the audio levels being mixed into the output channel result in extremely high audio levels, which, in digital music, merely get chopped down on the zero attentuation point (clipped).
